Book your own private butterfly pinning class in the studio for 2-4 participants. Email me to schedule a date and time that works for your party.
An introduction to preparing and preserving lepidoptera.
This class is designed for beginners that want to learn how to pin butterflies and moths. You will practice rehydrating techniques, correct handling, and spreading your own specimens. We will discuss how to sustainably source insects, proper storage, and demo how to tackle degreasing.
The class includes: your own pinning board, 5 specimens, pinning forceps, glassine paper, and pins to spread your specimens.
Must be 18 or a guardian must take the class alongside the youth participant. Please email with questions before booking. Will gladly accept requests for larger groups and special parties.
Class is 2.5 hours.
Class fee is $200
Cancellation Policy
Custodio is a small business and is unable to refund the class fee in the event of a cancellation. There is a lot of time and preparation that is put into each class or workshop. Once a class seat is purchased, specimens and materials are purchased and paid for.
If you need to cancel, you can pass your seat to another person and provide their information. If you need to reschedule, do so asap prior to 48hours before class date. To cancel, please email custodiotaxidermy@gmail.com . Please provide your name used to purchase the class seat, the date, and the time of the class.
Showing up 20 minutes late or more to a class is considered a No Show.
Right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
